This application functions as a straightforward playback client designed for TV and Radio streams accessed through Enigma2-based set-top-boxes (STB) via the OpenWebIF web service. Users can simply input the IP address and port number of their Enigma2-based TV receiver to begin streaming Live TV or accessing recordings stored on the STB.

The app offers support for multiple Bouquets containing TV and Radio services, as well as various locations with recordings on the STB. Users can utilize the upper HUD (accessed by swiping down during playback) to choose audio channels and activate subtitles. The lower HUD (swipe up during playback) allows for easy navigation through Live TV streams. Functionality during recording playback includes pausing and fast-forwarding, although this feature is somewhat restricted due to the utilization of an HTTP connection for streaming.

Enigma2 is an open-source Linux-based operating system commonly found in receivers for satellite or cable TV. The application interfaces solely with OpenWebIF through HTTP to access Bouquets containing favorite TV stations and their corresponding Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data, as well as to display all recordings stored on the STB. Note that at present, HTTPS access to OpenWebIF is not supported; FTP is used for backing up certain app data.
